MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION AND FEES
Membership of the Dhekelia Services Sailing Club, Cyprus, is open to all current military personnel and UK based civilian staff attached to the sovereign base areas of Cyprus and their dependents ("Entitled personnel").
Expatriates and other civilians ("non-entitled" personnel) may take part in training courses, and may be admitted to membership, subject to restrictions placed on the number of civilian members. Click here for further information.
The Club owns several types of boats, including single handed Pico's and Lasers, as well as 2-man Hartley 15's, and Laser 2000's, which members are permitted to sail. In addition there are several boats privately owned by members.

The Membership Year runs from 1 June each year. New members joining 1 January – 30 June will pay the full fees as listed, and their membership will run to 1 June the following year. New members joining after 1 July will receive a discount depending on the month of joining: July 10%, August 20%, September 30%, Oct 50%, Nov-Dec 60%.
Payment by cheque (in Euros and drawn on a Cyprus Bank) is preferred, payable to "Central Bank DSU". Cheques can be deposited in a sealed envelope addressed "Membership" in the relevant pigeon hole in the committee room at the club.
Payments in cash may be accepted in person only by Jenny Toumazi, (treasurer), Steve Kimberley (membership secretary), the Officer of the Day, or any other authorised club officer, and a receipt must be given. The Club accepts no responsibility for Cash unless handed IN PERSON to an authorised person, and a receipt issued.

CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP are as follows:
Individual Sailing Membership*: Covers one individual member.
Dual/Family Sailing Membership*: Covers one adult member with their spouse or partner and their children under 16.
Junior Sailing Membership: Reduced membership fees apply to Juniors Over 9 & under 18
Associate Membership: Sailing not included. This is intended for partners & families of individual ,sailing members, who do not themselves sail, or other non-sailors who frequent the club and make use of the shore facilities.
Power Boat Membership: Owners of powerboats may keep them at the club either in the open, or subject to availability, under cover, and may launch and recover using the DSSC slipway, and have general use of the club facilities.
USE of PRIVATE BOATS:
Use of members' private dinghies is welcome, and they may be kept at the club, subject to space availability. Private Boats sailing out of DSSC, must be insured for third party liability of at least €3m.This cover is only available in Cyprus from Abbeygate insurance. Unless insured through a recognised UK insurer with equivalent cover, members are required to insure via Abbeygate. TEMPORARY SAILING MEMBERSHIP
Visitors and guests are welcome to sail if suitably qualified, and subject to availability of boats, on payment of a daily or monthly temporary membership fees. Click Here for current rates
Temporary membership is intended for infrequent sailors, and short term visitors. Regular sailors are expected to apply for full sailing membership. Temporary membership is permitted for up to 5 days sailing, or up to 2 months only.
